We did a play based on this wonderful book, I enjoyed being the narrator for this play pageant, I was in sixth grade at the time and we rehearsed this play for two weeks. Everyone loved this book and the whole entire school was very impressed! I highly recommend this book to everyone who has children. Thanks for the memories Miss Baker!

This is a reprint, the first I had was not full-color! I love this book, with its rhyme and wonderful "sharing" of the joys of Christmas, especially the Tree! A book to be read to children, listened to by the family, enjoyed by everyone.

I read this book as a child and was thrilled when I found it in the store a few years ago and could share it with my nieces and nephews. They love all the animals who are able to have Christmas trees and the pictures are great. This year I purchased a copy for the child I am a nanny for. It's a book I'll enjoy reading for years to come.

My family loved the story in this book so much, that now any item that is passed from one of us to another is referred to as a Mr. Willowby. A few years ago, we even had a Mr. Willowby's Christmas Tree. I bought a new artifical tree, gave my old one to my parents, who gave their old one to my siater's family, who donated their old one to the church for the Christmas pagaent. Mr. Willowby certainly points out the true meaning of Christmas, it's not what you give, but how much the gift means to the recipient.

My Mom used to read this book to my brothers and I every Christmas holiday. I then read it to my kids for the last 22 years. I am now buying the book for my brother to read to his kids. A wonderful book that shows everybody sharing the christmas tree

Robert Barry's book is absolutely delightful. My nephew got an autographed copy for my daughter for her 3rd birthday. She loves the book. I enjoy reading it because it flows so nicely. It was wonderful to find out that the author was from the town that I live in--this made the book even more meaningful and special. Thank you Robert Barry.

This is a book I have cherished as a child, a teenager, a young adult and now that I am old enough to be a grandparent. This book has been a traditional reading every Christmas eve since the 60's. I know you will want to make it a family tradition too. The illustrations are exceptional- I am a true fan!

Reading Mr. Willowby's Christmas Tree has been and continues to be the tradition on Christmas Eve for my family. We have read it every year, first my Mom reading it to us when we were young and now us reading the parts together. My sister and I are now in our early 30s and still read this to Mom and Dad on Christmas Eve, either in person or over the phone on a Christmas Eve three-way phone call. Don't even hesitate about buying it!

This is such a sweet story. I bought it years ago at a garage sale in poor shape and am thrilled to have found it again. I've read it over and over to my children and now am delighted to see it published. Teaches how to share and give. It's delightful.

I remember a highlight of the Christmas season in grade school was the school librarian reading this book aloud to each class, complete with felt board characters. Although I forgot the title, I remembered the story and the reading with love. I'm so happy I finally found this book again, and can't wait to see it under MY tree this year!

This is the cherished book from my childhood that my boys ask me to read to them the most, all year long! Now that it is available with color pictures, it is even better. I was doubtful (think of all those old photos of our parents in the 50's) but they are delightful. The story is precious and so satisfying that many others were 'blessed' by every successive cast-off from Mr. Willowby's tree. Each grateful recipient of their little piece believed that it was,'grand to have a tree, exactly like Mr. Willowby. ' By the time I get to the rabbit family and the carrot star, the tears are rolling. I buy this treasure of a book in quantity to give as gifts throughout the year. You and the children in your life will fall in love with this classic.

My grandparents gave me this book when I was about 6 or 7 years old. To this day, it is my favorite children's book. I've asked many people if they've ever heard of it and I'm shocked to hear they haven't. I want to buy a copy for the whole world. It brings about images that I carry with me to this day about gifts that keep on giving and that one person's junk can truly be another's treasure. In this throw away world, this book carries the torch of hope in my heart.

I read this book to my children (now 23 and soon to be 30!) and now my granddaughters LOVE it. My son still remembers 90% of the endings to each sing-song verse. It helped him to learn to read and I still read it to them all every Christmas season. I read it anytime I need a spirit lift!

As a child I begged my parents to read me this book to me. It is a treasured memory from my childhood. This book is for any age,and deserves to be read by everyone.
