MRS JEFFRIES PLEADS THE FIFTH. is a collection of three great mysteries. In MRS JEFFRIES TAKES THE CAKE, Mrs Jeffries takes on the murder of a gentleman who died sharing a piece of cake with his murderer. There are suspects galore, including his own family. In MRS JEFFRIES ROCKS THE BOAT, Mrs Jeffries tries to find the killer of Mirabelle Daws, who had no ememies in England, so every says. But she had to have at least one. In MRS JEFFRIES WEEDS THE PLOT, Amanda Grntry asks Mrs Jeffries to find who is trying to kill her. Could it be greedy relatives, or one of her neighbors? In all, three delightful Victorian mysteries.
