I have read all of the "Thrush Green" and "Fairacre" series books and I love them. They are among my all time favorite books. Warm-hearted yet not sappy. Like eating your favorite dessert, you don't want them to end. A real breath of fresh air compared to the sex/violence-saturated books which comprise most of today's publications. If you like Jan Karon you will like Miss Read, perhaps even better. Now I am struggling with finding books by other authors that leave me this warm and satisfied!!!!

Incredibly full of spitfire, Mrs. Pringle is the most beloved grouch of Fairacre. One never knows who has offended or it about to be offended by this priceless character
