Overview

Figure out how your dating personality is sabotaging your relationships–and become the type of woman you were meant to be!

Are you one of the many confident, attractive, and successful women who often end up in unsuccessful relationships? Do you find yourself behaving in your relationships in ways that don’t accurately reflect who you really are? Do any of these women sound like you?:

• Ms. Second Place: She allows herself to be a low priority in a man’s life.
• Ms. Sex Machine: She settles for physical intimacy when she really wants an emotional connection.
• Ms. Soul Mate: She so wants to be in love that she mistakes every date for “the one.”
• Ms. Drama Queen: She only dates bad boys and unavailable men.
• Ms. Mom: She makes it a priority to fix her man’s life instead of her own.
• Ms. Anaconda: She’s so needy, she suffocates every man she dates.
• Ms. Independent: She’s been hurt before and won’t let her guard down.

If you recognize yourself in any of these types, don’t be discouraged. In Ms. Typed, you’ll learn how to be the woman and partner you’re meant to be–through uplifting stories from other women, and a “Ms. Typed Makeover” that leads you step-by-step through the process. Dr. Michelle’s smart advice is sure to give you a fresh outlook on dating and guide you toward loving, fulfilling relationships.

Editorial Reviews

Publishers Weekly
For women who seem to make the same romance mistakes again and again, psychologist Callahan, a media presence and resident psychologist on reality TV show Queen Bees, offers a way of diagnosing and defusing dating self-sabotage. When it comes to men, most women know their type, but Callahan believes it's more useful to know your own type-or, more specifically, your mistype, as the ten personality profiles that follow all identify habits that keep you from expressing your true identity. These include Ms. Second Place, who tends to settle for less; Ms. Anaconda, the smothering type; and Ms. Bag Lady, still smarting over past relationships. A quiz helps readers find their match, and anecdotal evidence gleaned from patients demonstrate how these types work in the real world, where they fail, how they hold you back, and what may have caused the condition. Helpful tips for a "Ms. Typed Makeover" are encouraging and wise, though Callahan's concept can get in the way of clarity; "type" and "mistype" seem to be used interchangeably, and often.

    I Also Recommend:

    A good read.

I got a lot out of this book. The author really describes a lot of personality types and I think I found a little bit of myself in many of them. It was an overall good read that can enlighten a girl to the things she might be doing to sabotage herself.

    Typed?? Not another one.

The idea of an intelligent woman writing a book to women about how they can change their "type" basically to find a man as if a man completes a woman's life, baffles me. The book does make good points. But, when is someone going to write a book that says, it's ok to be who you are, and there is someone out there who will love you for you, and if not...don't sweat it?

The Bible teaches that God created woman to help man...that He that finds a wife finds a good thing. It's not the other way around, and until women realize this, we will continue to be treated as objects rather than human beings.

really good ( for me at least)

At first i was skeptical, but then i got into it, and everything i've read about "my type" was head on, on whats going on in my life, how i felt about certain situations, and how i handle them. It was actually kinda scary. I RECOMMEND this book, it is very helpful, and i love it !!!
