    I Also Recommend:

Shakespeare can be fun - for the rest of us

What do I expect from my partner, from my relationship? Are those who seem the happiest always those destined for bliss? Do we laugh at something simply because it's funny or because we question its validity?
What I liked so much about this play was that it's easily accessible for today's readers: As a comedy it's truly enjoyable and entertaining without the craziness in other Shakespearean plays that makes them hard to relate to at times. However, the straightforward story that's also easy to follow and the presentation of the very different main characters makes readers question the relationship between the sexes and the roles people might get into in those relationships. And it's surprising how familiar the issues seem even though the historical context has changed so much since.
Never having read the play before I worked on this play with my class before seeing an actual performance and found that the teenagers responded very well to the material (acting it out, turning it into a soap opera, creating tableaux...). As any play of course it should be seen, not just read, but of course preparing a play and really getting to know the characters by working with it yourself makes you appreciate a performance all the more. The modern translation allowed weaker ESL students to follow the story and to focus on the actual content questions and you'll hardly find another edition that can compete with this price.

    Much Ado About Nothing

This is the book I use in my classroom. It is funny, sad, and has great character development. I love the format in the "No Fear" edition as it works for my students. I use it with the DVD of the same title, that features Kenneth Barnagh as the director.

    A great book

I really love how easy they make it to understand the old English which Shakespeare wrote in.

    A Life Saver!!

I highly recommend this series to anyone who doesn't have the time (or patience) to translate the old english or research the many metaphors. I'm a high school student who has had to read 3 works by Shakespeare already. These books are a lifesaver and are very easy to understand, making Shakespeare actually enjoyable!

    Wonderful, Superbly Imaginative

I am a college student studying literature which includes Shakespeare. These books walked me through his work easily and stress free. The translation on the back of every page gave the me the boost I needed to fully understand Shakespeare's humor and mind.
