I first read this book in high school. At the time I came across it I had just finished Up Front by the author and was curious to see what he did with the American Revolution. Needless to say he did a wonderful job. Bill Mauldin managed to present the story of the common soldier as only he could. The cartoons that he put in the book only highlight and enhance the narrative in a very funny, and personal way. Thanks Bill
