This is a pirated edition. Please do not buy. The publishers haven't released an ebook yet.
I wanted to learn more about my way of life. If you are just looking for an awesome read or trying to learn more about the last Prophet(PBUH) this is a great start.
This book is excellent. It is difficult to put down the book once you start reading it. Recommended for all to read, regardless of your beliefs. Should you require assistance in wider explaination of its contents, you probably need to seek a Muslim scholar. They are found in mosques and maybe Muslim schools, too.
For content, the book is the best source in English on the life of the Prophet Muhammad. I've read, and loved, the print version previously. Unfortunately, as mentioned in another review, the formatting of this ebook is horrible. It is clear that the publisher gave absolutely no care to editing or proofing the text before trying to make a quick buck off of the ebook. It makes the text very hard to read, and worse, will turn people off of the material which, as mentioned, is unparalleled. Please show your customers some respect by attempting to release a quality product.
Martin Lings is known for his deep knowledge of Islam but similarly his great knowledge of English literature. This book is extensively referenced with his interpretations carefully explained and references to the actual Hadith. For those who don't know the Hadith are the stories told by persons who were companions of the prophet during his life. As such they are vital scripture in their own right second only to the Quran. Unfortunately the encoding of this book as an eBook is not up to the standards of its content. This is a repeating problem for eBook vendors who don't put the effort into books that are not top sellers. That said, there are books published that are worse. I would recommend the paper edition over this one.
