Multiple Sclerosis - What the Doctors Don't Tell You: A Story of One Woman's Journey from Denial to Diagnosis to Devastation to Dauntlessnessby Lesa Leonard
My name is Lesa Leonard; I am a woman, wife, mother, and grandmother. I also have MS. You might have noticed that the last thing I listed was the fact that I have MS. The reason for that is MS does not define me, but merely describes a small portion of who I am. Just so you know, it took me a long time after my diagnoses to move MS to the bottom of the list instead of it being at the top. My hopes for you are that you also will be able to put MS at the bottom of your list, and that this book and my story gives you some insight and hope that you can have a wonderful, fulfilling, productive life in spite of the fact that you have MS. Dauntlessness - Incapable of being intimidated or discouraged; fearless. This is the way I live my life now. It took me a couple of years to get to this point, my hope for you is that you will start today and you will accomplish this much faster than I did. You can do it! Always remember, you may have MS, but MS is not who you are.
