    Learning Times Tables for Fun

As an elementary school teacher, I am always looking for ways to engage my students to learn. Multiplication War is an excellent game and my students choose to play this even during lunch and recess. Some of my students have taken this game home to play. This is a great way for student to become more familiar with the times tables. Buy it for your children and play it with them.

    Great activity for math-loving kids!

This game is such a wonderful idea. My 1st grader happens to adore math. She chose this game with a birthday gift card. She isn't learning multiplation yet; however I wasn't going to squash her enthusiasm to learn. Younger children could play this game with adults who would be able to guide them in figuring out the math problems.

The idea of the game is just like traditional war. Each player flips a card and the player who has the highest number on their card collects both cards and adds them to their pile. The twist is that when the card is flipped it presents a multiplication problem, instead of a number. Whoever has all of the cards at the end is the winner. These cards could also be used as tradional flash cards.
