Evelyn David’s latest book, Murder Doubles Back, reunites readers with the “dysfunctional family” private detective Mac Sullivan has
gathered around him. The focus is on a cold case involving a missing child who disappeared from a class trip at the Smithsonian.
The case is now ten years old, but someone wants it re-opened. The story clips along at a good pace, and the additional characters,
from girlfriend Rachel, who works for the local undertaker, to JJ and Edgar, the office sidekicks, keep it entertaining. Besides,
nothing ever gets dull because Mac’s Irish Wolfhound, Whiskey, is likely to bound in at any time. This book
will make readers look forward to the next book in the series.
