Editorial Reviews

Library Journal

People are being brutally murdered in what seems a macabre game, and the GhostWalkers, with their supernatural abilities, are under suspicion. On a mission to learn the truth, GhostWalker Kadan Montague heads for the Sierras to find Tansy Meadows, psychically enhanced and an expert at tracking serial killers, whose psychometric help he desperately needs. As soon as he locates her, the sniper's bullets fly, and Kadan quickly realizes that someone high up in the White House doesn't want this game to end. A dark, sexy, violence-packed thriller, the seventh in Feehan's addictive GhostWalker series. Feehan (Dark Curse) lives in northern California.

Meet the Author

I live in the beautiful mountains of Lake County, California. I have always loved hiking, camping, rafting and being outdoors. I’ve also been involved in the martial arts for years—I hold a third degree black belt, instruct in a Korean karate system, and have taught self-defense. I am happily married to a romantic man who often inspires me with his thoughtfulness. We have a yours, mine, and ours family, claiming eleven children as our own. I have always written books, forcing my ten sisters to read every word, and now my daughters read and help me edit my manuscripts. It is fun to take all the research I have done on wild animals, raptors, vampires, weather, and volcanoes and put it together with romance.

This is a refreshing Ghost Walker entry

Tansy Meadows knows her psychic gift is a two edged sword as has used it to help the police track down murderers especially serial killers, but also has left her alone as even a simple handshake causes problems. Recently injured on a climb, she told authorities she lost her skill. FBI GhostWalker Kadan Montague had heard of her when he was training at Quantico and she was a teen. Now he needs her ability to locate serial killers playing a coastal deadly competitive game in which he believes a ghost walker is involved; perhaps two of them one on each side.

He finds her sleeping naked in an isolated field. When he grabs her, she is shocked her mental skills to cause pain fail her. Reluctantly Tansy agrees to assist him in ending the lethal competition although she hides her bet with herself that she will not come out of this one sane.

This is a refreshing Ghost Walker entry due to the lead couple and their telepathic romance and the killing teams with their apparently paranormal specialists in spite of The MURDER GAME concept not being new (see Barton¿s DYING GAME). The story line cleverly compares the growing love between Kadan and Tansy and the horrific violent homicidal hunts. With the return of couples from previous tales in the saga, fans will enjoy this strong thriller while wondering whether ghost hunters lead the predators and will Kadan say those three words to Tansy; assuming they survive the game they entered not meaning to be the prey.

Harriet Klausner

    Murder Game by Christine Feehan

I'm obviously an addict. Christine Feehan's books are like crack for me. I know what's going to happen. I know what her heroes are like. I know there's going to be a happy ending, and in her 'GhostWalkers' series I know there will be violence...and justice. So why do I keep reading them? Because she manages to pull me into the minds of both the hero (and he's always deliciously tortured!) and the heroine. I become attached to them and can't stop reading until I see IN PRINT that they're together, safe, and happy. "Murder Game" was no exception. In fact, I think this just might be her best GhostWalker book yet.

Kadan is the GhostWalker they call Bishop. His team is pretty sure he has ice water in his veins and he NEVER let's anything rock his calm. When the GhostWalkers come under suspicion of a series of murders, he's given a secret assignment to either clear their name, or find the guilty ones and eliminate them. He needs someone who can 'read' objects and Tansy is that person. She'll help him, voluntarily or not. He tracks her to the mountains where she's photographing mountain lions and it only takes two minutes for him to realize that she's the woman he was genetically matched to. This iceman is about to suffer a heat wave!

Tansy has always been different. As a child of 13 she began using her abilities to help track serial killers. It got harder and harder to pull back from the memories and her last case almost drove her insane. So after a long stint in the psych hospital, she put out the word that she had lost her abilities. She's found a career she can practice away from people, in the wild, but always alone. Then her world is invaded and torn apart by a harsh-looking man whose abilities are just as strange as hers. The story he tells her is horrifying, and ends up hitting way too close to home. And he wants, no demands, her help to stop a gang of serial killers directed by a man with no conscious...and no intention of stopping. And now this director is looking for her.

I couldn't put "Murder Game" down. Kaden's meltdown was riveting and pulled my emotions every which way. If you're a Feehan fan, don't miss this book.

    Another Feehan Masterpiece

A game has been set where two teams must kill in order to win. Kadan Montague doesn't like that too much and has been ordered to end the game. However, he can't do it alone. Which brings up Tansy Meadows, a sweet young woman with the knack to get into a killer's mind and plan his next moves, the woman genetically matched to Kadan. He'll stop at nothing to have her. She'll stop at nothing to end the game. But who will make it out on top? Especially when there may be more players than the game first let on.

I didn't care for this installment in the Dreamwalker Series

This book did not hold my interest like the other Dreamwalker books. If anything there was too little plot and it pains me to say this but too much sex. If she would have spent a few more pages building plot rather than have the characters doing it every two minutes it would have been more interesting.

Murder Game A game of lust and fear

I really love reading Christine Feehan's books and this one is just as good as the rest. The characters in the book show lots of concern for each other as well as their beloved families wether it be of blood or not. To walk into a military battle and know your enemy or walk into a killers mind and feel what your enemy left behind. The courage it takes to protect a woman you couldn't even let yourself dream about. Or even the fear of losing what your afraid to have. This was a great book. I can't wait for the next one to come out.

    Loved it!

Another saga in the GhostWalker world were paranormal combine with military skill(s), toss in some very hot guys with good hearts, pair them with girls struggling with their powers who become the ray of sunshine in their darkness, add some suspense, superbly woven storyline, some really hot love scenes and you have a GhostWalker book.

Wonderful! Kadan "The Bishop" Montague appeared in several of the previous books. He was always cold and methodical. When he was "sent" to retrieve Tansy Meadows from the Sierra Nevada Mountains in order to use her "elite tracking" skills to hunt down multiple serial killers she rocked his world. Together, they find a way to tame her skills, track down bad guys, solve a mystery and fall in love.

About half-way into the book previous GhostWalkers enter the story: Ryland Miller (#1), Raoul "Gator" Fontenot (#3), Nicholas "Nico" Trevane (#2), Ian McGillicuddy, Jack and Ken Norton...and a few new guys are mentioned.

This book kept me on the edge of my seat and didn't slow down once. Nicely edited (Thank you!) Another favorite for This Reader.
