NYPD homicide detective Paula Eichler journeys to Gosnold Island for an extended vacation. A recent tragedy in her life has left her close to a mental breakdown, and her family says that Gosnold is the perfect place to relax. There she meets Alan Mayhew, owner of the B&B she's staying in, and they slowly become friends.
