Markous loved his family tremendously, there was nothing his children needed and nothing his wife wanted, love was the cure for everything and he provided an enormous amount of love for them. The first Monday in September was the Labor Day parade in Brooklyn and the streets were filled with color, life, music and families getting together. The aroma of Jerk chicken fills the air and Soca music moves your feet, people who haven’t seen each other all year meet up again on this day. Flags of the Caribbean liter the streets of Brooklyn, but the night before the parade is Jouvert, and this is when the devil comes out. Markous’s life was destroyed this night, his family was torn apart and for years he kept hearing the screams of his daughter. In order to get his life back, and try to love his wife again he would have to silence the screams. With the help of a college buddy and best friend two men that only knew how to love their families made a life changing decision. The only way to do this was to wait for Jouvert to come around again and have revenge.
