About the Author

Lucinda D. Davis has been reading and loving mystery stories since she was old enough to haunt the narrow rows of books at the small Quebec, Canada village library where she spent her summers.

After decades of penning ad copy, marketing, and writing for horse sport magazines, she decided to do what people had been telling her to do for years: write some books!

She presently lives in a small hamlet on the beautiful Rideau Canal in Ontario, Canada. Her living room view looks out over the locks and waterways. This idyllic setting replete with friends, and more than a few interesting characters inspired her Boddington Bay Mystery Series.

41 pages, reads more like an essay or outline of a novel, than as a well fleshed-out, short commuter novel. It was choppy and didn't feel like a grown up book.....which makes the reader feel as though they are "Correcting" it, rather than drawing in the reader to enjoy the story. Although it was a nice first attempt. Needs polishing and editing. Note to the author ....jail and prison are totally different institutions. It's irritating when used interchangeably. Learn the difference, pick one, and stick with it. Also - the motorcycle cannot be a Harley Davidson Gold Wing! Ouch! Oh dear - FYI to the author - they are competitors - this is actually a big deal. Honda makes the Gold Wing ;) There were some good ideas and clever twists at the end. Wonderful that the author stuck with the plot and there was no sex, swearing or gore.

I enjoyed this story. The characters seemed well-defined, and the cat and dog were great. The storyline was good, too.

Angela Augustine inherits a bakery with a huge caveat. One caveat is to relocate from NYC to Boddington Bay; a small village outside of Boston. Second caveat was a huge bullet to swallow, offer her chronically unemployable cousin Lisa a job. When a painter type handyman was murdered at the local lighthouse, Angela and her friend Larry Brownlow begin to work on who the murderer is. The local law enforcement; Chief Zak Flynn, doesn’t seem too motivated to find the murderer. Can Angela and Larry succeed? Will Angela survive her cousin Lisa? Good read!

A 35 page free well-written tale of a young woman required by inheritance to make her living and residence in a New England coastal town per the directions of her aunt's will. She enlists the help of a retired friend when she finds at the bottom of a cliff....... Quirky sense of humor amd sarcasm involved. Liked the blurbs from the cat's perspective.

A 41 page story. The situations were somewhat unbelievable. The author belittled many of the characters and their homes. It did not, however contain any graphic descriptions or cursing.
