    Too Wordy

I've seen every Murder, She Wrote on TV and love the characters. When I saw this book in the store, I bought it immediately. However, I was very disappointed and had to push myself to finish it.

It was way too wordy. One whole page was written about what to have for breakfast, and had nothing to do with the plot. A lot of pages were like this (written about subjects not pertinent to the story). It was like the writer was trying to fill the pages.

This book could have been 100 pages shorter easily, and that would have made it more of a consistent read.

Jessica is always a fun read.

Jessica is always a fun read. This one is no exception. And bringing back Amos was a nice touch. The only thing I miss are the hidden skull drawings that were always in the earlier covers, unless the artists are getting too good at hiding them.

Murder Even Occurs on the 4th of July--Who Knew?!?

I recently finished reading Murder On Parade, one of the most recent entries in the Murder, She Wrote series and only the fifth one I had personally read. I'm a very visual person and every time I read one of these quick and fun little murder mysteries, I can't help picture scenes from the show playing out in my head as I read each new chapter. The dialogue and the scenes that cover each page in this book are like something right out of the show. The characters are interesting, the twists are there and ever confusing and the mysteries are fun to try to solve. Each book in this series is like another episode of what was already an extremely long-running show. Like the other books before it and the ones I will definitely be reading after it, this book is recommended fun summer (yes, it's almost here) reading for any fan of Jessica Fletcher and Murder, She Wrote.
