I just read this novella last night and enjoyed it a great deal. The characters are well written and a "real hoot." I have read all the Gertie Johnson books and Deb Baker's other books, including ones she has authored under the name "Hannah Reed." I highly recommend this author and all her books. You won't regret it!!!

I love this series! The main character, Gertie Johnson, relates the details of murder and mystery with her own unique observations that always amaze me, and make me giggle! I can't get enough of these stories. I would highly recommend reading the entire series starting with the first book. Not only are they murder mysteries, but also stories about good friends, love... and family members that have issues! This may be a Christmas story, but it's a great read anytime of the year! Can't wait for the next one!

I have found all Deb Baker's murder mysteries to be hard to put down. I wish there were more of them.

This self contained story is not badly written, but I did not like or care about any of the characters. That could just be me. I like cozy mysteries, but this didn't do it for me.

I really enjoyed reading this book. My only complaint is that it was too short. Right when I was getting hooked in, the story was coming to an end. I look forward to reading from this author again and I hope she writes a longer story since she has the talent to bring the reader in.

This was a short but funny who dunit. 125 pages but worth the read and $1.99 I paid. Gertie is one spunky older lady that makes me laugh and her sidekicks are likeable and quirkey as well.

A wonderful and entertaining novella. Deb Baker is a great writer and has introduced me to a new favorite, Gertie Johnson! I enjoyed this book and the author's ability to pull the reader right into the room with Gertie! (And at times this was downright scary!) I have never laughed so much while reading a mystery and look forward to reading more about Gertie in the future. A good combination of sleuthing and laughing. Please read, you will be glad you did.
