Quinton Moore was raised in affluence while Ashley Miles grew up with nothingness. However, the rich CEO breaks all his habits to the point he feels almost like an obsessed stalker just to spend a few minutes with the building¿s cleaning lady mid twenties Ashley Miles who recently kissed him senseless, but rejects his advances since. He wants her even on her terms she feels the attraction from her head to her toes and all points in between, but fears giving up her hard earned independence and life goals. Besides she has no time for a man between two jobs and school especially a hunk who will discard her once his lust is satiated. When someone threatens her life, Quinton demands she move into his home for her protection. She reluctantly agrees, but wonders who will protect her heart from her host. As they fall in love, this adversary expands his attempted assault to include anyone that he observes Ashley seems to befriend his goal to destroy the meddling woman. A secondary character in JUDE¿S LAW, Quinton defies his namesake¿s law with optimism that when it comes to Ashley and him, love makes sure that everything that can go right will go right though it might take all night. Ashley is a delightful protagonist as her hard work to get ahead is inspirational. Their mutual desires makes for a heated romance with a matchmaking thug pushing them together with his obsession to kill her (though the why comes extremely late). Harriet Klausner

A great sequal to Jude's Law! I love how tough, independent, and quick witted Ashley is! I think Quinton's calmness and patience work well with Ashley's character. I will say I quit reading for a few days after the surprise at the hospital.. All I could think about was "not another book like this" but it actually didn't drag on like most books so I was happy in the end. Overall, the book was funny, exciting, and had some hot scenes!

I really enjoyed reading this book. I would suggest reading Jude's Law first which helps to set this one up. Ashley's honesty and upfrontness was a real treat...not one of those sappy girls!

Yes...there aren't many but who cares! I don't think this was meant to be based on a true story. I loved this book. I've never read this author, I will now. The best ending ever!!

'Murphy's Law' follows Lori's previous release 'Jude's Law', and readers will be thrilled to re-visit favorite characters from that book in her latest release. Quinton Murphy has been intrigued by fiercely independent Ashley Miles from the very beginning, but she won't give him the time of day. It isn't until they share a fireworks kind of a kiss that he realizes the attraction goes both ways, but the frustrating Miss Miles still refuses to act on those feelings with him. In fact if Quinton wasn't so self-confident, Ashley would deflate his ego like a balloon. He's never known a woman who is not impressed by what he has, and having to work so hard just to go out on a date with this maddening woman frustrates him, but it also gets his attention in a big way. Ashley has not had an easy life, but you won't find her crying about what she doesn't have. No, this woman has goals, and she's not afraid of a little hard work, or lack of sleep, in order to make them happen. After all, God granted her with plenty of energy and determination, and blessed her with May, the best friend Ashley could ever have imagined. Now her attraction to Murphy, as well as a persistent danger, threaten to wreck all of her carefully laid plans. But sometimes fate has other ideas, and sometimes those new plans are exactly what you need.... I have to say that I think Ashley is one of my favorite Foster heroines, right up there with Cyn. What I love most about her is that she's unapologetic about who she is. Determined to make it on her own, Ashley really gets her dander up when Quinton tries to coddle her, but is intelligent to know when she needs to assistance. She has pride and stubbornness, but not stupidity, thank God: many a heroine have been ruined by the 'too stupid too live' complex, yet fortunately Ashley is not one of them. She knows it's not a sign of weakness to ask for help when there are no other realistic options, and she's mature enough to do just that. And she doesn't soften up with just a few flattering words from Quinton either. If he wants to be with her, he has to take her as she is, and if he has a problem with that, well, tough. Then he's going to have to deal with it, not her. Quinton is the perfect complement to our prickly heroine: strong, self-assured, with an old-fashioned work ethic and an abiding love for children that endears him to his lady. Murphy may have grown up with all the privileges Ashley was forced to do without, but he does not believe he is entitled to a free ride. Instead he gives back, again and again, and there is no greater joy than in helping others reach their full potential. The lovely and fascinating Ashley does not fall right into his arms, which intrigues him, but it's her own work ethic and generous heart that has him falling head over heels in love. Life will never be boring with his little endearing tyrant -and Murphy just has to convince Ashley of this, which he will do with pleasure. The exchanges between the two are amusing and invigorating, and Ms. Foster has a way of writing hot love scenes that are lush, romantic, and sexy in the way they enfold, yet not too explicit or overpowering for the story. Physical intimacy between two consenting and mature adults is something to be embraced, not something to be embarrassed about and certainly not anything to be ashamed of, and in a Foster story that is exactly what you can expect: earthy, passionate scenes that show how being responsible and considerate of your partner can be very sexy and fulfilling. Turn up those fans, readers!

Murphy’s Law is book 2 in Lori Foster’s Law series. While it is a stand-alone book, you would probably enjoy it more if you read Jude’s Law first. The danger and threat from the first book carries over into this one and targets Ashley. I really liked both the main characters, Ashley and Quinten, and enjoyed watching their relationship develop throughout the book. Denny, a secondary character in both books, is great and added a lot to the story. I wouldn’t mind having him as a friend. While the focus of this book is on Ashley and Quinton, we also get to revisit with Jude, May, and Denny from book 1. I love it when authors keep us up-to-date on past characters by letting them be a part of storylines in other books. If you want a quick, fun read, this book fits the bill!

It was a quiet nigh as the medicine cats gathered around moonpond. "I would like to welcome a new apprentice" the russet tom said. "flowerpaw, do you pledge yourself to be a medicine cat?" "Yes" flowerpaw answerd. The medicine cats touched their noses in the cool pond.<br> Flowerpaw woke up in a grassy field. A white she cat walked up to her. "Whitestar" flowerpaw bowed her head in respect. "I have a prophacy for you." Whitestar said "Even the most rusty heart can be true." Flowerpaw looked confused "what does it mean?" She asked, but the scene was fadeing into darkness. Then she woke up

I thoroughly enjoyed this story (a couple of times). I liked how the main characters interacted - their discussions and sharing brought me to tears. Not to mention they were HOT together! I also loved the supporting characters. Really the only thing I ever don't like about these books is that there is almost no story after the HEA is established. I've read a ton of Lori Foster books and have enjoyed them all (especially Sawyer, Morgan, Gabe, Jordan and Casey and Causing Havoc).

I couldn't finish this mess! Ashley, a 27 yr old virgin, acts and re-acts like a 12 yr old. I literally had to flip through the sex scenes...nothing sexy or realistic about these characters. Wasted money.
