Destined for Hallmark television, this series speaks of times foreign to our modern notions of what hardships really are. This tale sings of life, cries of loss, and fights to pursue happiness forged in hope. Tina's words, like miners, strike our hearts, dive into the dark parts of our souls, and shine---revealing wondrous treasures of hope, love, and joy, once hidden, for all to share. Thank you, Tina Pinson.

I really enjoyed this book, i typically dont enjoy books based before 1950. But i thought the story line of this book was great, between the relationship with the father and his daughter to the daughters dealing with working in the mines. You can find a character that you love in this book!
