Overview

Fans of Josh Groban already know the violin playing of Lucia Micarelli. Following appearances with the Trans Siberian Orchestra, Micarelli was tapped to play lead fiddle in Groban's live shows, and on her debut album, Music from a Farther Room, she conjures a musical mixture of a kind that Grobanites will find familiar. Drawing on classical favorites such as Massenet's Thäis "Méditation" (with guest artist Lang Lang), as well as pop standards like "My Funny Valentine" and more contemporary fare from the likes of Ennio Morricone and David Bowie, the album announces a fresh new voice in the ever-expanding world of classical crossover.

I have seen this new young artist playing with Josh Groban on his current summer tour, and she blows every other violinist away! Passionate....expressive....WOW. Can't wait to get my hands on this debut CD!

I recently attented Josh Groban's concert and was highly impressed by the talent of his lead violinist, Lucia Micarelli. She plays with such expression and emotion. She has a beautiful gift of turning notes on a page into a story. I am excited to add this cd to my collection.

Lucia is a great violinist. I heard her at Josh Groban's Closer tour and she put a lot of passion in her playing. I didn't expect much from her at first, but she caught my attention. I bought the CD, but I think she definitely sounds better live. They should've gotten a better violin for the CD recording though because it sounds horrible, but she's still great. :)

Lucia is great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What happen to the song "To Love You More?" The CD is still great, but I paid a lot, and it's not cool. She's sooooooooooooooooo pretty, and her playing is sooooooo flawless. Her playing pictures differnt things. It's awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope she will make her dvd so I can get it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And that she will go on tour!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bond, Hilary Hahn, Lucia, and Vanessa Mae should be a band!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I saw Lucia in person with Josh Groban in Orlando and was just BLOWN AWAY by her talent. When she plays it is like you can see and feel each note. I just happened upon this CD while I was buying some others. I must confess it is my new favorite. So relaxing and beautiful. I have heard a few of these songs done by other people, but after hearing her version the others just pale in comparison. If you can only buy one CD THIS IS THE ONE. You will not be disappointed.

The first time I heard Lucia play she took my breath away. She is poetry in motion, never missing a note, just pure silkly sounds resonating through your ears. Every song has its ouwn beautiful melody. My favorite would be Nocturne/Bohemian Rhapsody. My wife and I just had the priveledge to hear he play again at a Josh Grohban concert. Wow!!! If your not sure if you like Violins? Buy this alblum and it will change your mind. Good luck, enjoy!

First saw & heard Lucia on Chris Botti's dvd "Live from Boston". Her violin was "the voice" chosen for the musical piece 'Emmanuel'. To hear her play on the cd-rom will stir your emotions - but to 'see' her perform on the dvd will plunge you into the passion with which she stimulates her instrument.
