The one before this one..."Ray of Light"...and the one after..."Confessions on the Dance Floor"...just totally kick-ass...masterpieces. However, I don't get this album, "Music". It's just totally annoying. I threw it in the garbage. It's that's bad.

I'd hate to let down the listeners who have raved about Madonna's "Music" CD, but the fact remains that it doesn't compare to her previous release. Some of the CD shows it's weight, yet the title track is one of the weakest links on this album. Madonna is older and wiser and enhanced both her character and artistry on "Ray of Light." To go from that to "Hey Mr.DJ put a record on," just isn't worthy of her anymore. Combined with a dance beat that falls flat, she is simply wasting her talent on this song. Then there's "Impressive Instant." It's a good enough dance song to evolve the listener into "the trance" as she puts it, but her vocals have never sounded more unlike her, as if she was 25 again and trying to bring back the high-pitched singing on her "Like A Virgin" album. Madonna has come way past that mark. The CD does have some excellent tracks like "Runaway Lover," "Amazing," and "Don't Tell Me." But overall,Madonna doesn't shine as strong this time. She hasn't necessarly lost her steps, but I hope she makes some leaps for her next release and picks up where "Ray of Light" left off.

She's the epitome of our time. She's Madonna! What else can you say about her that isn't redundant? She is vulnerable with age in an industry that has tried to tear her to shreds yet she overcomes. Not afraid to show that side of her that is scared. If there is one person that could change the world it's her but of course they'll shoot her if she ever got political. She knows this. Too bad John Lennon didn't...or did he? I guess she's leaving the love inside her that she has given us so that her children can enjoy her and remember her. Like everyone else....people forget you - no matter who you are but at least she can give her accomplishments as a gift to her children. Her life! As so many are quick to denegrate Madonna she as a woman has done so much in media to help so many different stereotypes. It's hard to see it because the imprisoned always player hate and never let you just listen or look without them HAVING to say something negative about her. You can't ever just say the name Madonna and not get extreme reactions whether love or hate but who ever hates her hates themselves for not being someone in a world that needs for us to be someone like she has. Those who love her see her beauty in themselves and who knows they may even change the world by experiencing her and make it a better place for the underdogs...women, single women, women who want to have children without being married, leaving a man that beats you, being nasty and disgusting...and saying hey that was part of who I was and I expressed it, women as icons, women as strong, gays, lesbians, bisexuals, african americans etc. She's given us all a voice. I'm so glad to have been able to grow up in an age where she was always on top she's Joan of Arc...she's Elizabeth...she's someone who has been with me all through growing up and so I have a place in my heart for her. She has been our God therefore I ''the God in me see's the God in her''. I can't wait to see her concert!!! Sandi T

I like the song entitle ''Music'' and it is one of my all time favourite, I do reckon her ray of light album is better than this one, but only few song I like in this album. There are Music, Impressive Instant, Nobody's Perfect and Paradise (Not For Me). I also love the latest single ''Don't Tell Me'' and the future single ''What It Feels...'' but the only thing is I don't totally likes her voice in this two songs. Her voice more better when she sing the former No. 1 ''Music''. I think Madonna could easily sing techno or dance music unlike her past albums which she sound better especially my fav ''Crazy For You'', ''Vogue'', ''Ray Of Light'', (''Take A Bow'' this one more nicer I think it could reach more than 7 weeks atop the US Billboard when she sang highly note like Mariah Carey or Celine Dion.) and many many past songs. I was thinking why she is considered as a ''Queen of Pop''. I was agreed because she's done so many in the music industry but as I say her voice is the only thing. M. Carey could be the one but she haven't reach the status and the successes belong to the Lady M'na. I noticed that the next single will be ''What It Feels...'' so I do prefer ''Impressive Instant''. Is there anybody makes the recommendation and ask the Billboard. I work as a Disc Jockey in my country and I always promote her music esp the No. 1 Music (the most played song in my place) people here really enjoy the single, they said it very strong. They even ask for repeated the song. I also like the song ''Like a Prayer''.

I love it, I love it, I LOVE IT! Ok, Ray of Light was mega layered, this has simpilar sounds, yet still makes you shake that bum! Buy this album, you won't be sorry! How can 10 Million fans worldwide be wrong? Favorite tracks include: Music, Impressive Instant, Runaway Lover, Don't Tell Me, and What it Feels Like for a Girl. *****

I really love this cd. I also really love Madonna. I love every song on this album,and the other day I was reading a magazine and it asked it's readers '' If you were going to be on an island and could take only one cd which would it be?'' DEFINENTLY MADDONNA' MUSIC! One of my favorites is ''Amazing'' that one title sums up the entire cd. Utterly amazing!

Madonna is back once again, and this time brings some new producers into the fold...(namely French producer/artist Mirwais) with dazzling results... Music is a funky piece of work that is literally all over the place. You've got some acoustic tracks, some impressive House tracks like Impressive Instant & Runaway Lover that are sure to keep you Boogie-Woogieing long into the night. Then there are lush ballads like I Deserve It and Nobody's Perfect that will probably make her a few more number 1's on Billboard... Then there are some really cool tracks that just can't be categorized like Paradise(not for me), which was actually a single by Mirwais featuring Madonna. Did I mention that there is this little track called MUSIC that spent 4 weeks at number 1 on both the airplay and club charts and has becoming the biggest-selling dance maxi-single EVER....

This album by Madonna is a great thing. You won't belive how good Madonna is still, after 17 years, since the first album ''Madonna'' came out. I strongly recommend this work of genius.

Over the weekend I heard the song, ''Don't tell me'', and I immediately went out and got the CD! I also think the song , ''What it feels like for a girl is great''. The only song I'm not too keen on is the Cher sounding, ''Nobody's perfect''. Otherwise, another fantastic CD from Madonna!!

One of Madonna's best, this album pairs party-up dance mentality with newfound maturity. Instantly accessible, the album gets better with every listen. And while it's not a total soul-baring success, there are some genuine moments when it seems like Madonna may someday reach the emotional landscapes of Tori Amos or Fiona Apple. Madonna has a talent for working with talented people, and her artistic vision is right on. Worth the wait.

I drifted away from Madonna's music for a little while, and with Music am now a reconfirmed fan -- this is one of those albums where you love every song...and we all know how it can suck to buy an album for one hit only to find the rest of the album is mediocre. You won't find that here. I LOVE this album -- especially some of the mellower songs. I highly recommend it.

Madonna once again is the trend setter... I really was not in to the Ray of Light stuff but, Music has brought me back. Music is like the stuff off of Madonna's 1st record , and it was the JAM in 83. This is the best dance tune put out by Madonna in Years....
