    EXCELLENT Resource

    i found this chart easily organized the most important and basic points covered in all of my college music courses. i have been able to use it for multiple classes, as it contains easy reference information not only on theory, but on the histories of musical periods and myriad composers. the person below who rated it one star mustve been looking at something else because 1) his review is before the chart was even published and 2) as a music major myself i can say this chart is one of the more useful quick-ref guides i have found.

    actually, this chart is fantastic

    Thorough overview of basic music theory, nice orchestra seating diagram, and great info about music history and a bunch of composers. Almost serves as a listening guide in itself.

    Covers all the basics...and fits in your 3-ring practice binder to boot!

    A brief overview of music theory/history in a simple and well-organized chart that fits nicely in the front of your 3-ring practice binder. Anyone starting out with music theory should pick this up as a quick reference.

    Excellent for public.

    Excellent for the general public, and for quick reference. I think that is the general idea. It would make for excellent mentioning point for lecture.

    Music Theory SparkChart is weak

    There is really nothing that I have seen that is helpful! At this point, the material in the Music Theory sparkchart is like having no guide, at all. Hopefully, once it is actually printed and released it will be of more help.
