Kathy King Wouk's first album as a leader reveals a young girl's desire to become a folk singer. Although classified as adult contemporary, one hears those elements that made the folk craze of the 1960s a defining moment in American popular music. Not only does her vocalizing show her folk roots, but most of her material is the kind folk artists cotton to. Her play list of originals cover a wide variety of topics, some sad, some dreamy, some hopeful, but all sincere.
