About the Author

In 2018, South African archtect Pieter Mathews was honored by the Afrikaans Academy for the Arts and Sciences with the Medal of Honor Visual Art (Architecture). He was appointed as curator for the South African Pavilion at La Bienale di Venezia, Italy and gave a TEDx talk on the Cool Capital initiative.
