    Great advice. Easy to read.

    This book is written in a down to earth style that makes a potentially overwhelming topic managable and even fun to read. The author explains all the details of mutual funds for those who are interested, but also just has a section of reconmendations for anyone who would prefer to skip to the good stuff. There is also a section of fictional characters and the author's subsequent financial advice for each character given their particular circumstances. The author also provides lots of general advice on what things one should look for in a mutual fund while helping steer the reader away from bad choices. All told I knew nothing of mutual funds before this book and now I feel that I can make more informed decisions about mutual funds.

    Very informative

    Good Book .. Lots of knowledge .. The book is written so that you can open up to any chapter and dig in, which is why the information becomes very repetitive if you read the book cover-to-cover. The author explains things in simple terms and gives a ton of real-world examples. I also recommend the Dummies book 'Investing for Dummies' by the same author -- just be advised, between the two books, there is only really a book and a quarter of unique info.

    A Good Read

    Lots of good suggestions and pointers, but a little repetitive and long winded. I was able to make confident mutual fund choices after reading this.
