* Everybody gets Zits because everyone has either been a teenager, is one, will be one, is raising one, or knows one. Maybe that's why this breakthrough work was named Best Newspaper Comic Strip in 1998 and 1999 by the National Cartoonists Society.

* Zits nabbed the Max and Moritz Award for Best International Comic Strip in 2000.

* Jerry Scott won the 2001 Reuben Award for Outstanding Cartoonist of the Year.

* Jim Borgman took home the 1991 Pulitzer Prize for Editorial Cartooning and he's the only cartoonist to win the National Cartoonists Society's Best Editorial Cartoonist Award five times. He also won the 1993 Reuben Award for Outstanding Cartoonist of the Year.

* "Zits is being hailed as one of the freshest and most imaginative strips of recent years." --Los Angeles Times

    "My Good" Book

This has really been the first comic book I had really ever read. I love to read and my whole family had been following the comic, Zits in the newspaper. I had enjoyed them tremendously so I decided to get a collection of them. In this book, I saw some that I could read over and over and had to memorize the page number. Some of them told a funny continuing story that I was glad the next strip was there so I could continue. Some of the comics I had read before but made me laugh again nonetheless. I enjoyed this book so much and it has really been an enjoyment. It's great to grab for the dentist's, doctors, pretty much anything that you have to wait for because it's so entertaining and you can open to a random page or read straight through. This book will make you want to read it again and again and maybe even get another Zits comic book. It's very exaggerated for those of us who don't completely understand the teenage mind, but for those of us who do, it will let you connect and maybe revisit or just visit some of those feelings. Jeremy and his mother have a very shaky relationship though some of the comics in this book show love for one and another, find some way to make it funny or don't totally express the way he really does love his mother like it could. Although, this is not a novel, it is simply a comic about a teenage boy and his life and is supposed to be funny, because as we all probably understand, the life of a teen can be funny. This is a great read and is appropriate for all ages.

Perfect humor for parents of teenagers today!

Sometimes I just need something to make me laugh. I picked up a book by this author once and fell in love because he takes everyday, frustrating conversations I have with my teenagers and lets me see that it is all just a generational gap. He points out the extreme differences between my generation and the ones my kids are living in today. My kids get the humor, but they don't see if from my point of view. I think the cartoon clips are hilarious. I highly recommend this book to my friends and even bring it in to work to diffuse stressful days. I would like to buy the whole collection over time.
