    Highly Recommended

This book has changed my life and for anyone to claim that reading it was nothing but indulging in heresy, well, they must have not read it!
In regards to Mr. or Mrs. anonymous's negative post: to be so blatantly negative about something they don't have a clue about and obviously have some kind of a personal agenda with the author, please keep it to yourself or work it out in therapy. I don't know if you realize, but indulging in your own negativity may cause someone his or her life - this book could have not only given them a reason to live but offered a practical way of healing themselves.
The book is simple, yet elegant, full of hope, love and serves as a reflection of one capable, resourceful and a brave woman (who is not a cook at a spa or a hotel, by the way) who cured the natural way, by applying the common sense principles and macrobiotic diet.
The author was given 2 months to live and that was almost 25 years ago!
So please, before commenting, please check your facts, do a little research and if you have a bone to pick with an author, keep it off the book comments.
    Thank you.

    LIES!

A healthy diet made up of organic produce, whole grains and very little processed sugar is wonderful-- suggesting that such a diet can CURE cancer is morally reprehensible. NO scientific study has ever proven that macrobiotics can cure ANY disease. If anything, medical professionals have noted that it can accelerate the attack of terminal illness because of malnutrition. Mina Dobic is incredibly, disturbingly arrogant to ignore all knowledge since the Enlightenment. She is not a trained medical professional-- she is a cook at a hotel. What's more, the book is not even that well-written. At its best, it exoticizes Japanese cooking and the 'Orient' and is shamelessly self-aggrandizing.
