Overview

In this USA Today bestselling contemporary romance, Emily March invites you to visit Brazos Bend, Texas – a small town with a big heart.

Kate Harmon wonders how life got so complicated.

One minute she's dating the sexiest bachelor in Dallas and the next she's back in her small hometown surrounded by grannies, gossip, and green bean casserole.

It's not enough that she's been forced to finally return to the scene of her Scandal. Now her cantankerous father needs nursing, her pregnant-for-the-first-time-at-forty sister wants coddling, and her brother, Mr. Perfect, requires rescuing from a situation that threatens the family's future.

And guess who else is back in town? None other than Max Cooper, former high school football star and the father of her teenage son. And Max is looking to date her.

Over the course of a long, hot Texas summer, Kate has the chance to finally make peace with her past and open a door to her future. But will a second chance at love stand in her way?

MY BIG OLD TEXAS HEARTACHE is a full-length novel of approximately 100,000 words.

    Loved it

I enjoyed reading this story. I read the whole thing in one sitting, wanting to finish and wishing at one point she would tell he whole family to just leave her alone. But I admired her and was rooting for her happy ever after.

    Nice

A nice love story. 666 pages, About 100 of them are devoted to an excerpt for the author's next book and 6 pages of bragging rights intro, then the author's other books and bio., take up 15 more pages.( At the story's end.)There were a few typos , but nothing like what I've come to expect as normal for Nook books, which was nice. I liked the plot, the people, (except for the grandfather and a couple of the widows.) The details and background were exceptional, there is hot steamy sex and competition for the heroine's affections. This is one of my favered genres, so I was surprized to like it so much, even with the sex I think a mature 16 year old could read this book, as the desciptions were not x rated to a raunchy level.
