Overview

My Big TOE, written by a nuclear physicist in the language of contemporary Western culture, unifies science and philosophy, physics and metaphysics, mind and matter, purpose and meaning, the normal and the paranormal. The entirety of human experience (mind, body, and spirit) including both our objective and subjective worlds, are brought together under one seamless scientific understanding.
If you have a logical, open, and inquisitive mind - an attitude of scientific pragmatism that appreciates the elegance of fundamental truth and the thrill of breakthrough - you will enjoy this journey of personal and scientific discovery.
Based upon careful scientific research and logical deduction, this is a book for all who have an interest in the nature of the reality in which they exist. My Big TOE is not only about scientific theory, function, process, and discovery - but also speaks to each individual reader about their innate capabilities. Readers will learn to appreciate that their human potential stretches far beyond the limitations of the physical universe.
This trilogy delivers the next major scientific conceptual breakthrough since relativity and quantum mechanics raised scientific eyebrows in the first half of the twentieth century. No catch, no megalomania, no hypothetical wackiness, no goofy beliefs, no unusual assumptions - just straightforward science that better describes the totality of our experience and provides a wealth of practical results and new understanding that can be applied personally and professionally by scientists and nonscientists alike. This is the real thing.
My Big TOE is about life, purpose, personal significance, physics, evolution, and the reason why. The acronym "TOE" is a standard term in the physics community that stands for "Theory Of Everything." Such a theory has been the "Holy Grail" of physicists for more than fifty years. My Big TOE delivers the solution to that scientific quest at the layman's level with precision and clarity. This book is an adventure into the overlapping worlds of science, philosophy, and metaphysics. It is tightly analytical and logical as all good works of science and philosophy should be, while at the same time down to earth, easily understandable, and full of good humor. No leaps of faith or beliefs of any sort are required to get to where these books will take you.
Campbell did not put the "My" in My Big TOE to flaunt pride of authorship. Nor does the "My" indicate any lack of generality or applicability to others. The "My" was added to be a constant reminder to you that this reality model cannot serve as your personal Big TOE until it is based upon your personal experience. On the other hand, personal or subjective experience is only one piece of the reality puzzle. In the objective physical world of traditional science, My Big TOE delivers a comprehensive model of reality that subsumes modern science, describes our objective material reality, and is universally applicable. Contemporary physics is shown to be a special case of a more general set of basic principles.
Book 3: Inner Workings -
Section 5 presents the formal reality model in detail. In this section the mechanics of reality are explained. You will find out how the past present and future are formed, how they can be altered, and how you interact with the larger reality as an individuated unit of consciousness. Here we will explain inter and intra dimensional awareness and probe the theoretical possibilities of teleportation, time travel and a few of the more fun ramifications of this reality model.
Section 6 is the wrap-up that puts everything discussed into an easily understood perspective. Additionally, Section 6 points out My Big TOE's relationship with contemporary science and philosophy. By demonstrating a close conceptual relationship between this TOE and some of the establishment's biggest scientific and philosophic intellectual guns, Section 6 integrates My Big TOE into traditional Western science and philosophy.

Editorial Reviews

A. R. Mcallister
The author describes himself as a scientist who seeks concrete evidence before getting into, for example, meditation techniques. As it turns out this scientist has an open, exploring type of mindset despite his natural skepticism. He also has a unique sense of humor which leavens the entire book and assists us in understanding his intellectual and detailed style of delivery. The book reading requires the reader to focus in on the material to understand it.
Joseph Lusher
Extremely enlightening and facinating.A masterful, in-depth analogy of the "Big Picture" of creation and our place as human beings in the grand scale of things. It would help to have a back ground in physics; however, with some effort and a bit of back-tracking there is much enlightening and facinating information. A study in physics, philosophy and theology that ties everything together in a way that makes sence.
Rick Ansquar
The author has a unique sense of humor which leavens the book &assists us in understanding his intellectual and detailed style of delivery. The book requires the reader to focus in on the material to understand it. The reward of doing this is a promise of being able to see the "big picture." The author to my perception has balanced the left and right hemispheres of his brain; in other words, this is a totally balanced person and he has something to share with the world. I give it a thumbs up.
S. Myers
Life altering book, not to be missed.I'm still reading it, but, so far it's taken my perception of life and awareness, and expanded it beyond any describable or measurable parameter.

If you appreciate scientific inquiry and process, and if you have an open mind about consciousness (double entendre, to be sure!!) then you will likely find this book a super-humongous treat extraordinaire!
The trilogy is, without a doubt, a read unlike any other, ever.

Fantastic!

Meet the Author

Tom Campbell began researching altered states of consciousness with Bob Monroe Journeys Out Of The Body, Far Journeys, and The Ultimate Journey) at Monroe Laboratories in the early 1970s where he and a few others were instrumental in getting Monroe's laboratory for the study of consciousness up and running. These early drug-free consciousness pioneers helped design experiments, developed the technology for creating specific altered states, and were the main subjects of study (guinea pigs) all at the same time. Campbell has been experimenting with, and exploring the subjective and objective mind ever since. For the past thirty years, Campbell has been focused on scientifically exploring the properties, boundaries, and abilities of consciousness.
During that same time period, he has excelled as a working scientist, a professional physicist dedicated to pushing back the frontiers of cutting edge technology, large-system simulation, technology development and integration, and complex system vulnerability and risk analysis. Presently, and for the past 20 years, he has been at the heart of developing US missile defense systems.
Tom is the "TC (physicist)" described in Bob Monroe's second book Far Journeys and has been a serious explorer of the frontiers of reality, mind, consciousness, and psychic phenomena since the early 1970s. My Big TOE is a model of existence and reality that is based directly on Campbell's scientific research and first hand experience. It represents the results and conclusions of thirty years of careful scientific exploration of the boundaries and contents of reality from both the physical and metaphysical viewpoints. The author has made every effort to approach his explorations without bias or preconceived notions. There is no belief system, dogma, creed, or unusual assumptions at the root of My Big TOE.
By demanding high quality repeatable, empirical, evidential data to separate what's real (exists independently and externally) from what's imaginary or illusory; Campbell has scientifically derived this general model of reality.

A never before presented Big Picture of our existence

Campbell¿s Big TOE, which refers to nothing less than a Theory of Everything, stands on firm ground. In a bigger picture of our existence than has ever been presented, My Big TOE weaves Philosophy, Physics, and Metaphysics together to create a model of reality through which you can begin your journey towards a higher quality of consciousness. Campbell¿s books are derived from his own experiences with altered states of consciousness, his work and experiments with respected people in this field, and the objective verification of the results. The author shows how previously, Philosophy, Physics, and Metaphysics clashed in their isolated quests for answers to the nature of reality, and that by setting the camera of our conscious mind to a wide-angle lens, we can better understand reality in the larger sense. Do not let the scientific undertones steer you away from this Trilogy. The personal asides that the author provides enrich the reading process, and the Trilogy format allows the complex subject matter to be more accessible to everyone. From those mildly curious to the potentially eternally grateful, please note: from whatever level you personally begin, you cannot go back to exactly the way you previously viewed reality ¿ this Trilogy will reach the core of your being, and you will certainly glean from it something of lasting value. The true value, however, will lie in your own experiences and explorations, the author cautions, as the Trilogy provides only a framework for your personal quest in search of a higher quality of consciousness and awareness. While personal effort is expected to achieve results, I appreciate the lengths the author has gone to in order to relate the processes, and the why, of how he arrived at his Big TOE. I like the why of things, and there is plenty offered here: ¿ Why you are here and the ¿point and meaning of both physical and non-physical existence¿ ¿ Why our culture and beliefs may inhibit our ability to see the Bigger Picture of reality ¿ Why improving ourselves is the best way to solve our collective problems, and possibly the best road to Peace ¿ Why time travel into the future and past is accessible to us ¿ Why meditation is a good beginning towards all of this; showing you how to create your own mantra based on which of your five senses works best for you ¿ Why ¿Spirituality, Consciousness, Love, and Paranormal Phenomena are interconnected¿ These are but a few of the answers and profound insights the author presents in this Trilogy. The noble goals of evolving our consciousness toward the positive side, exploring alternate realities, improving the quality of our being, our life, and our planet, are a challenge the author inspires us to take on. For all of these reasons and many more besides, I cannot recommend this Trilogy highly enough!
