Meet the Author

Lynda Madaras is the author of twelve books on health, child care, and parenting. For more than twenty-five years, she taught puberty and health education to young students in Pasadena and Santa Monica, CA. Her daughter, Area Madaras, was just eleven years old when she assisted her mother with the first "What's Happening to My Body?" book. Now a communications consultant and the mother of two young girls, she lives in California and continues to work with her mother on the series.

    For any mother-daughter!

    I have taken all 3 of my girls through this workbook over a 2 year period (each) and really feel it covered all bases for those pre-teens. It allowed questions to come up that they wouldn't have thought of and I particularly didn't want to answer! They have pages where they can write their own feelings and not feel any pressure to say the right thing. This has been by far the best puberty book we've read. Highly recommended!

    this book is so good because it helps me know what will happen to my body one day and get one for your daughter so you dont have to tell them bout stuff that is happening to there body if you dont have time to tell them. ( must bye and read).

    I have it

    I have a paperback copy of this book its helpful for problems all girls have it may seem weard at first but after a wile you will understand it helped me understand my sertin time of the month uf you need help unerstanding it and are scared to ask your parents this book will help you understand but sometimes you need to ask your parents about some stuff so if your going through pubirty right now i sugest you get this book or put on your big girl panties and ask your parents my mom got it for me and i read it for things i dont uderstand yet i got it when i was 10 when my mom got it for me now im 13 and i am really happy my mom got it for me and i hope you will get it when your going through puberty that way you will have like a servivel guide for puberty i did and i hope you love it (sorry my review is so long)
