Overview

A novel of approximately 100,700 words.

Can there really be a secret Indian tribe living in a secluded valley a week's ride from Mammoth Lakes? Yes, and men have left their village for supplies...

Danielle wanted to go back home, but Honon chased her down each time she ran...at first. In the beginning she didn't understand why she'd been taken. Later, her heart had been broken too much to stay. She had to stop her escalating feelings for Honon, even though he gave her more highly charged passion than she'd ever dreamed of. No matter what move she'll make, it will cause her even more heartache. No matter how far she runs, Dani can't escape her desire for Honon.

The chief's son knows what he wants as soon as he sees Dani and her long fiery hair...then he catches a glimpse of her creamy white skin. When opportunity and lust strikes, Honon takes her - even though she's meant for someone else. He sees her fear...and her yearning glimpses. He wants to give her his body, but not his heart. Can he trust her or is she playing him for a fool? Can he let go of the past or will pride cause him to lose more than Dani?

I absolutely loved this book. Even though it's a full novel, I still wanted more; I didn't want it to end. The first chapter was okay, but once I got to the middle of the second I couldn't put it down. The surprising twists and turns had me hooked. The characters were fully developed and I felt their joy, anger, sorrow and...okay, let's just say that this book had plenty of hot scenes too. The plot is great and unique in that there is a slight possibility that it really could happen (not like so many of the fantasy paranormal and time travel stories). This is a great, sexy romance and I can't wait to read the second in the series.

The author took me on such a great adventure that this book should have been charged for much more than $.99. This full-length novel plunges readers directly in the female protagonist's perspective, showcasing the romantic yet realistic story of her capture. Not only did I grow to love the main character and her captor, but the author also presents the rest of his tribe in such a dynamic and captivating way that I am now longing for her next release! This is DEFINITELY a book that should be on romance readers' bookshelves!

“...never expected this book to have the twists & turns...or to enjoy it as much as I did! Dani is a really inspiring character because of the way she "grows" throughout this novel. Honon is very passionate but at times I really hated him…you get his point-of-view, pretty much redeeming himself...cannot wait to see where Liwanu & Karen's relationship will go in "My Perfect Man." I recommend this novel to anyone who would like to read about Native American's in a 21st cent. romance.

“I thoroughly enjoyed this book… jam packed with detail…well balanced & paced…writing is descriptive…characters interesting & have real depth. Honon is to die for…passionate & strong... Dani is smart & brave & is not afraid to stand up to her captors, Not all authors can write good love scenes but not a problem here the scenes between Dani and Honon are hot…interesting supporting characters...Karen & Liwanu. Their story is next. I can hardly wait.

"Hot! What a book! I picked it up and never set it down. 5 hours later I was done and ready for the next one...It took very little time for me to become emotionally invested in this story... Kudos to the author for doing her research on the Native American Indians... I would recommend this book to anyone who wants an original romance with spice. This is by no means a cookie cutter novel. It is so much better than that. Enjoy!!
