To delete a location, you tap on the icon that looks like a stack of paper at bottom right. This is the locations page. Tap the arrow to the right and the delete option will appear. I do like this app. The radar maps are awsome! It will freeze though if you try to zoom in while map is in motion, just pause motion - zoom in - restart motion! Works like a charm

I have been using this app for a few weeks and, overall, I am very pleased with it. After the B&N O/S upgrade ran last week everything was OK except the wrong city and temperature were displayed in the notifications area of the home page. I called tech support at Garmin and was advised to either add and then delete another city, or, if that didn't work, to uninstall and reinstall the app. As I only use one city, I uninstalled and reinstalled it - archiving and then unarchiving. (no additional cost). It worked. The city and temp in the notification area continue to be OK. This could also help with some of the other upgrade issues mentioned by other reviewers. Hope it helps.

This App should be the standard for Nook Color Apps. Garmin (Yes, the GPS folks)developed this site for civilian pilots and the data displayed is the same as that shown on their paid subscription site. The Home screen is rather plain but once you tap one of the title buttons the color and clarity is astounding. After a day or so I noticed the blue band at the bottom of the screen with MY-CAST on it. The little dimples at each side led me to place my finger on them and slide them up; Wow! The weather is displayed in windows (you select the "widget" radar, wind, precipitation, etc.) when you tap one you get detailed views. I like the cloud radar that cycles through about two hours of current and projected views. Anyway; this is an easy to use, very useful Application. The best I have on my Nook Color.

I live in the Midwest, right in Tornado Alley - knowing the current weather conditions can be vital to your well being. The first thing I do when I wake up is roll over to my Nook, check the weather report, and roll out of the bed to dress accordingly. I don't have cable, and my TV doesn't pick up the local stations very well. With the recent tornado outbreaks, the radar and alerts came in handy when I didn't have my computer, and you can set it for several locations, which is great because I work in one city and live in another. When I have WiFi access, I can easily check both cities to see what's going on at the push of a button.
Yes, you have to link to WiFi (how else are you going to get updates?), and yes, my dinky non-smart phone has a weather channel option. But it is no where near as detailed as this app gets, with radar maps, pollen updates, hourly forecasts, wind speeds graphs, alerts, and you can add several widgets for optional information you may want. It updates it's info as soon as I open the app and refreshes easily. It's crashed maybe once on the radar screen, and only took a refresh to fix. I would highly recommend this app to anyone, especially if they're a fan of the quality and easy of use for Garmin products.

I bought this app because we live in a small town in southern Colorado where the weather can be a very important factor in planning daily activities. Unfortionately, the readings for this area are taken at a point that is 1,000 feet lower than where we live! There is always at least a 10 degree difference from actual. The forcast is for our real location, which is somewhat confusing.

Garmin, a leader in all things GPS, has developed a very useful application. It is a useful set of weather information and getting the weather maps on your Nook is terrific. The more robust/faster the wifi the faster it loads. The multiple city feature is useful as well. If you like weather or need weather information...get this one.

Doesn't update when you open it, radar always has a box around it so can't see your location doesn't help when you are tracking a storm. We live in tornado alley

I have been using this app daily since I purchased my nook. After the latest update, like other reviewers, the location in the notifications area was incorrect. Instructions from tech support fixed it. Browse to the app through 'Shop' as if you were going to purchase it, select 'Manage', then 'Archive'. Then select 'Unarchive', and app will re-install. Location will then be correct in the notifications area.

Maps update every half hour. Makes this app inadequate for tornado warnings.
