I went looking for a book for my husband to read our son at night that will sweetly reflect their connect and love. This book is it! My husband LOVES reading this to our son and was happy to find such a touching book about the love a father has for his son. It is now a book that I give to new fathers, as well as to the fathers in my family on father's day. An excellent read!!!

Fathers and sons are celebrated in Newbery Medalist Jerry Spinelli's latest, joining with graphic designer Seymour Chwast to celebrate the time of day when Daddy comes home to be with his kids. Dogs are the characters representing father and son in this whimsical survey which arrived too late for Father's Day mention, but which deserves a place on any school or community library picturebook shelf.
