Candice Elton is a part-time author and book consultant, and a full-time mother of five. Richard Elton is a full-time firefighter and part-time graphics designer. Their previous books include My Vacation Album and My Christmas Album. They live in Morgan, Utah, with their children and Champ the dog.

Fran Lee has illustrated and designed every book in this series, as well as the activity series books Cooking on a Stick, Fishing in a Brook, Haunting on a Halloween, Hiding in a Fort, Sleeping in a Sack, Trekking on a Trail, and Wishing on a Star. She is a native of Chicago, Illinois and now lives with her husband in Portland, Oregon.
