Not recommended for fans of the Maddie Cutler (Vintage Magic) mystery series.

I made the mistake of buying the entire trilogy because I liked this author's Vintage Magic series. Too late I found out that this isn't a mystery series. It is a fantasy series. Too bad you can't return Nook Books.

fun to read durning the Fall

This is the first book I have read from Annette Blair and I really liked it! A witch who just broke up with her baseball player boyfriend gets a new job and meets a cute hockey player who she gets a crush on. He is injured and can't play so he works with her and they start spending more time together. Cute story and fun read and cool .

    Great Read

I was excitied to get my hands on this book.. I read Kitchen witch and liked it so much I knew this one would be good as well.. I could not put the book down. However the only down fall to the book was it was one of those think ahead books like you knew where it was heading.. Although there were a few twists to it the book ended pretty much the way I thought it would which was fine but disappointing that You would think it and that was the out come. But I would say over all it was a great read.

    Its a keeper

Jason Pickering Goddard world comes to an abrupt halt when he is in a devastating car accident. Jason the Ice Wolf of the NHL can¿t accept the damage to his legs. Hockey has been his life since he was little. He agrees to help his beloved Gram and run her charity foundation for six months. Jason hopes in that time his legs will heal so that he can get back to the sport that he loves. His first encounter with his event coordinator involves her casting a spell on her cheating ex. __________________ Kira Fitzgerald has decided to give up on men after catching her fiancé in the sack with her sister. She loves working for Bessie Pickering Hazard, Gram has given her shelter and a place to heal. Kira has strong feelings about how things should be run at the foundation and this jock will only get in her way. But once Kira gets to know Jason better he isn¿t the dumb, carefree jock she thought he was. She finds a kindred soul in Jason. __________________________ Jason and Kira both have been burned in the past. Their relationship starts with a strong friendship and builds. Their banter is witty, sexy and moving. I loved how their relationship just kept growing on every page. The emotional connection will warm your soul and stay with you. __________________________ My Favorite Witch is a delightful story. It was a treat to see the characters from The Kitchen Witch again and to see where their story has gone. Looking forward to the next bewitching tale.

    Kira's story told!

Kira Fitzgerald had been engaged to a jock until she caught him in bed with her sister. Now Kira is starting her life anew. Her first step is a new job. Kira is hired by Bessie Pickering Hazard, a seventy-seven-year-old shrewd lady who happens to be Chairman of the Board of The Pickering Foundation. The pay is not high, but Kira has free room and board in a home full of history. Kira is the Coordinator of Events that raises funds for St. Anthony's Home for Boys. Kira's second step is to use her solitary, white witch spells and witchcraft to symbolically rid herself of her ex-fiance's bad karma. Things begin to go bad when her new boss, Jason Goddard, walks in while Kira has her wedding invitations burning within a trash can and is casting a spell. Things get worse when she realizes her new boss is also a job with a national reputation of changing women as often as he changes his socks. ................................. Former NHL (hockey) Wizard, Jason Pickering Goddard has been temporarily benched while he recovers from a knee injury. Bessie, his 'Gram', has managed to bamboozle him into agreeing to help out the foundation for the next six months. He'll be helping to raise funds for the St. Anthony's Home for Boys. Just his luck that he has sworn off women for awhile only to find the most bewitching lady he's ever met hexing another man's private part with a wand over a burning trash can. Staying away from this intriguing white witch is not easily done. He not only must work side-by-side with her at the office, but at home too! Gram has Kira living next to him and they must share the same kitchen. ..................... ***** Annette Blair will make your blood sizzle with this magical tale of contemporary, but by no means ordinary, romance. All the boys from St. Anthony's play secondary roles throughout the book and will absolutely steal your heart. Fans of the old 'Bewitched' TV series will especially enjoy this novel. Kira does not twinkle up powers like Samantha Stevens did in the show, but her little white spells are so much fun! And who's to say they do not work? Not I. As an added bonus, if you read the previous novel, 'The Kitchen Witch', then you will be happy to know that you will have a sneak peak at what is happening in those characters' lives . This story is a terrific way to start out a new year! *****
