Love is magical in USA Today bestselling author Lisa Plumley's enchanting new novel about a runaway witch and the warlock who's on her trail—and in her thrall...

Dayna Sterling's always been betwixt and between. Born in a desert town populated by witches and blissfully ignorant humans, Dayna had magic, but no clue how to handle it. So she left to forge a workaday life among ordinary Joes. Which is fine, really—until the day one most extraordinary Joe turns everything upside down...

The assignment is simple. Trace the runaway witch; bring her home for compulsory “cusping” training. So why does Dayna set T.J. McAllister's half-warlock blood buzzing? Maybe it's the bonding spell that spontaneously connects them. Or the fact that T.J.'s powers go wonky whenever he's around Dayna. In any case, the attraction is making it damn hard for T.J. to accomplish his most important mission: prevent a dangerous uprising by locating a powerful witch prophesied to help him. She could be anywhere. She could be closer than he thinks...

Editorial Reviews

Library Journal
Sent to track down renegade witch Dayna Sterling and bring her home to Covenhaven for mandatory training to control her emerging powers, half-warlock, half-Patayan guardian T.J. McAllister is dismayed when the amulet with which he snared Dayna goes beyond what he'd intended. But T.J. has more to deal with than an inadvertent lifepair bonding; he's on a mission to find the legendary unknown witch who will help save them all from impending disaster. The problem is that he keeps looking in the wrong place. VERDICT In keeping with Plumley's tradition of lively romantic comedy (Home for the Holidays), her first foray into the paranormal witch world subgenre is quirky, sexy, creative, and hilarious. Plumley lives in Chandler, AZ.

    My Favorite Witch

This book was hard to finish. It wasn't the worst book I ever read but it was close. The plot was underdeveloped. It had the potential to be better but the direction the author took with the storyline was a poor choice. The booked dragged on but I felt the climax/ending was rushed. I liked the characters somewhat (after awhile Dayna's insecurities in her own magical abilities became annoying) and the writing was good. I bought this book on sale so I do not feel as bad about purchasing it as the other reader.
