Meet the Author

Jill Kalz is the author of more than 70 children's books. Her picture book Farmer Cap (Picture Window Books) was a finalist for a 2008 Minnesota Book Award and the winner of the Readers' Choice Award and an AEP Distinguished Achievement Award. Jill also writes short stories and poetry for adults. She works as a children's book editor and lives in Minnesota with her charismatic dog, Tuckerbean.

Born in 1978 in Bologna live and work in Ravenna since 2003 after graduating in Illustration and Multimedia Animation IED in Milan. Collaborate with publishers and advertising agencies animation studios. Begin immediately to work in quality 'of storyboarder, runner and animator for the anime Rai "Gino the chicken in the network lost" episode 13x52. After two years of intense collaboration with the study Melazeta starts (not without difficulty ') my activities' freelance. In the field of 'explanation in the fields of space fiction, fiction for children, Scholastic, Publishing, Advertising, Graphics and Illustration for clothing. My collaborations more 'recent two camps were: EDB Books Bologna book covers, educational texts, illustrations for fiction. Selected among the first in-competition Pictor "Puss in Boots" A, Cideb Blackat, DeAgostini Zanichelli, ABR Tapirulan, Edicolors, And Raphael, Glenndoman Steiner. Achtoons animations studio for 2 short films in animation, production backgrounds for the animated series RAI "Art by Mati 'and Dada'. In Adv I worked and collaborated with: Saatchi & Saatchi Italian Banca Popolare, GDS Nouvelle Leo Burnett Philliph Morris Inventa CPM Dixan, Bosch Compass Visa, Barclays, Teneroni, UBI Bank, Fisher Price, Acco, National Geographic Channel etc..
