Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature
Each of the featured animals has a fuzzy part to touch and they all feel pretty much the same in spite of the jacket copy stating that, "Each safari animal feels different." That aside, there is a statement and then a request to get the young reader more involved with the book. "I am a zebra baby. Can you pat my soft neck with your hand?" A pleasant offering for those just learning about animals. 2001, Little Simon, $6.99. Ages 9 mo. to 2. Reviewer: Marilyn Courtot

    Great First Book for Baby!

This is one of the first books my daughter has enjoyed. The cardbook pages are easy for tiny, chubby fingers to operate. Every page has a different fur to feel and she loves them all. She buries her face in them and rubs them on her cheek. I am now buying the rest of the books in the series, hoping she will find as much enjoyment from them.
