I really enjoyed this book. I've read the other books by Debbie Sue Goodman and they were wonderful! In this novel, I could relate to the storyline. I myself have gone through a divorce. I was married to a man I thought I knew completely and found out later he was a complete stranger. He was having an affair. My daughter is in her 30's and she enjoyed reading this book too. It's a great book for any woman who is in a relationship and thinking about getting married. It shows the reader that you should get to know the man you're dating very well before you decide to marry him. I recommend this book to all single and divorced women out there.

I highly recommend this novel for any woman in who is in a committed relationship and having doubts about the man you're going to marry. It really shows the reader it's best to know someone very well before you decide to spend the rest of your life with that person. I can relate to some of the chapters in this book. I was married to a man that I didn't know at all. He was having an affair with his co-worker. On the nights he came home late, he told me he was out with his male buddies watching either a ball game or football game. I got divorced and moved on with my life. I've since met a wonderful man that I trust completely. I'm telling all my single and divorced friends to read this novel.

I have to ask...how did this book get published? Does the author have an editor? I was astounded that an editor did not do or demand some major revisions, etc. Does the author understand language, grammar, punctuation, structure, flow, etc.? I felt like I was reading a high school girl's diary. It was almost laughable in its sophomoric writing style. I had to keep reading it to see if it ever improved. Never did...

This is a very good story. I enjoyed reading it. This is a great book for any woman going through a divorce. Lauren's story is very suspenseful. It's also very intriguing and lets the reader feel all the emotions she was feeling during her marriage to a man she thought she knew completely, when she finds out her husband was a stranger.
