Chapter One

When I'm Sick in Bed to the tune of "Are You Sleeping?"

God is watching. God is watching Over me, over me. When I'm sick in bed, when I'm sick in bed, He helps me. He helps me.

Achy tummy, nose all runny, Itch and sneeze, cough and wheeze. When I'm sick in bed, when I'm sick in bed, Jesus sees. Jesus sees.

So when I'm sick, so when I'm sick, I will pray. I will pray. Even though I feel sick, I will love you, Jesus, Every day, every day.

BRAVE NEHEMIAH Nehemiah 1:1-2:6

Here is the king who sits by the queen. The king is thirsty. He wants a drink. Nehemiah smiles. It's his job To fill the king's cup up, up, up And bring it to the king who sits by the queen.

But Nehemiah hears some sad, sad news. Where his friends live, the wall fell down. Nehemiah wants to help build it back up.

But he's scared to ask the king if he can go. Will the king say "NO!"? Nehemiah fills the king's cup up, up. But he looks sad.

"What's wrong?" asks the king who sits by the queen.

Nehemiah prays, "God, help me be brave."

Then he asks the king, "Can I go build with my friends?"

"Yes!" says the king who sits by the queen. "Go and build the walls up, up, up."

So Nehemiah did!

Dear God help me to be brave, Amen.

God You're My Helper to the tune of "You Are My Sunshine"

God, you're my helper, My mighty helper. You always hear me when I pray. I talk to you, God. When something scares me, And you help me to be brave.

For other verses, instead of something, substitute things that frighten your child: darkness, big dogs, thunder, lightning, etc.
