Miriam's life reads like a 1930's musical. While still in her twenties, she appeared in six Broadway shows. On the day she moved to Los Angeles, Miriam ran into old friend Billy Daniels from New York who took her to lunch at Paramount. After reading this, I see that author Miriam Nelson is not only an accomplished professional dancer, but she's also a very tender and loving person who seems to know everyone in show biz. Almost every page is star-studded, telling her experiences with the likes of Paul Newman, the Gabor ladies, Gordon MacRae, Eydie Gorme, Steve Lawrence, Frankie Avalon, President Reagan, Mary Martin, and many, many more. A fine book written by a warm, gracious lady.
