My Life with Sylvia Browne: A Son Reflects on Life with His Psychic Motherby Chris Dufresne, Larry Beck (Photographer)
Chris tells of growing up in an uncommon household with a psychic for a mom, with spirit guides, psychic readings and more. he showed his own psychic abilities at the early age of three, and has gone on to be a highly respected clairvoyant in his own right. Although he says 'the psychic road is wondrous," he also says it is hard and demanding. The gift owns you, but it is a gift from God.

I am a big fan of Sylvia Browne so I purchased this book out of curiosity. I am fascinated by 'the gift' that runs in this family. This book is very interesting and gives readers an insiders point of view about Sylvia the person, rather than just Sylvia the psychic. Since Sylvia's books are all written in first person, it was nice to learn about her personality from another person's viewpoint. I read this book from cover to cover in one long evening. By reading about Chris' relationship with his mom, wife and family (including his psychic daughter, Angelia), I identified with their very deep love for each other. After I finsihed reading the book, I thanked God for giving me such a wonderful family. My life with Sylvia Browne, is a heartwarming collection of stories filled with laughs and interesting insights about the world's most trusted psychic. I highly recommend this book to anyone who would like to get to know Sylvia Browne on a more personal level.
I've had this book for a long time and I finally read it this past week. It is a very good book. The book is more about Sylvia than about Chris...and thats not a bad thing because it helps us to see and know the many sides of Sylvia...and after reading this book, you find out that she is just like the rest of us who have problems, struggles, heartache, etc. Chris did a wonderful job in writing this book. Some parts are heartwarming, other parts make you laugh. Chris does a great job in helping us to see what he and Sylvia are like day to day...and how he interacts with his mother, and other family. This book was very interesting. I've read mostly all of Sylvia's books, and Chris's book is very difeerent...but a 'good' different. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading Sylvia's books, and to anyone who is looking to know the many sides of Sylvia and Chris...she and her son are only human, and deal with life like the rest of us, they have been blessed with a gift...but they still struggle in life like the rest of us. I hope Chris writes more books in the future.
Anyone who enjoyes Sylvia will enjoy this book. After reading nearly all of sylvia's books and seeing her in person I was a fan but I wasnt sure that I would be interested in reading about her from another persons point of view. I was plesently suprised. After reading this book you will also have some insight into who Christopher is and Im sure that you, as I, will also be a Christopher Dufresne fan. This is really a must read.
