This is a great read for any fan of MLP: FiM. The art style is unique and interesting, and the story is fun and compelling while also feeling like it stays true to the spirit of the cartoon series. The story features a bit more action and danger than the cartoon show usually does, and I think older fans will appreciate the slightly higher stakes. However, it stills maintains it's family-friendliness and fun humor, and so is a good choice for younger fans as well. It contains the content of the first four issues of the comic series, covering the first full story arc. It's good for anyone who, like me, wants to read the full arc in the form of a single compiled graphic novel. The book also contains a short art gallery, showing the wonderful art of several of the various alternate covers of the comic issues. This is turning out to be a fun, promising series, and I hope they continue compiling the comics into these volumes in the future, as I look forward to buying them.

A good story with the return of an old villain. Sometimes the foreshadowing hits pretty hard, but I kind of expect that from children's books. The art is quality, though it does have a bit more distortion than my personal taste likes.
