FINALLYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is a book worth every penny

FINALLYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is a book worth every penny! I have grown tired of all the crap out there in the romance world and then this little number comes along, it was exceptional! I have bought numerous books in the past little while that I haven't even finished because they were horrible. The books were choppy, not well planned, had flat characters, and just all around uninteresting. Not this book! The two main characters were amazing. The main male character was honorable, loveable, but was still just a little rakish to keep things interesting. The main female character is smart, sensible, and so mature. She didn't act irrationally about anything, thought things through, and had a backbone all without being stubborn about the stupidest things. I don't know how many times I have read a book and have disliked some aspect of the character personality, but not with this one. I loved everything about them. I also loved everything about this story. It was written perfectly! Alex and Amelia met (scandously) and both experienced a mild attraction to each other but the author didnt write the story where if you blink you skip the falling in love part, the author took her time and thought things out before writing. Ms. Wildes planned everything out wonderfully. She had things progress naturally like how it would in real life. Then she throws a little mystery and of course scandal in where it was just called for. The love scenes were just steamy enough without being wronchy so it wouldn't subtract from their love. I LOVE THIS BOOK! There is not enough good things I can say about this book. Just believe me when I tell you that it is worth everyones time who loves a good romance. Read it! You wont be disappointed. If I could I would at least give it one more star!

    an entertaining nineteenth century romance

Unable to say no to his grandmother, Lord Alexander St. James searches for a missing family heirloom. To accomplish the mission he sneaks into Lady Amelia Patton's bedroom as her family stole the heirloom from his.

Amelia's father ordered her to go to London to find a husband. She is taken aback not so much by a man in her room, but by a member of the family, her family loathes. Alexander is as shocked not to see he was caught, but how much he wants Amelia though she is a member of the family his family loathes. As they fall in love with the feud hanging over their happiness, each receives threatening letters exposing the scandalous original source of the spat.

This first "Notorious Bachelors" historical romance is an enjoyable tale as a family feud threatens to keep the beloved enemies apart. Although not a new premise, sub-genre fans will enjoy the exciting story line from the moment Alexander and Amelia meet in her room; their respective reactions are priceless as both are more stunned by the attraction than by his sneaking into her room. With late suspense re the spat, My Lord Scandal is an entertaining nineteenth century romance.
