The Junior League of Hampton Roads has created a fabulous cookbook with My Mama Made That! Lots of delicious recipes with clear and easy-to-follow directions. Great ideas for all occasions. My favorites are the dips - especially That Tailgate Dip and the Islander Cheeseball. Very highly recomended!!!Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. I've had this cookbook for about a year, have made a number of items for friends and family and they are all absolutely delicious. The recipes are easy to follow, many don't call for a whole lot of ingredients, and a lot of them use staples you would already have in your pantry along with fresh ingredients. From appetizers to desserts you will be sure to find something that pleases your palate! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. This is yet another cookbook done by the Junior League of Hampton Roads. It is good, but there do not appear to be as many recipes as their Virginia Hospitality Cookbook.
It would make a nice gift, though. I am not sorry that I bought it.

I love this book - the beautiful aprons fluttering in the wind capture great childhood memories for me. I've made the Bacon-wrapped Pork Tenderloin, which is quick easy and all done in the oven, and makes a wonderful reduction sauce if you want to take the drippings to the top of the stove. I also made the Grandma's Famous Pound Cake and my teenage daughter was amazed at what "REAL" pound cake is supposed to taste like. Again, super easy and a true family favorite. I love all the "Mama-isms" scattered throughout the book - I can literally hear my mom's voice at times. Funny that I now use some of the sayings when speaking to my two girls! Higly recommend this one...you'll love it! I keep it on display in my kitchen beside the matching apron - the cover is so great! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
