Its like talking over a beer. Excellent stories! Recommended.

I read alot of cold war submarine books, and they are usually good, but I like a change every now and them. This book made me feel like I was sitting out in the back yard shooting the bull with an old buddy. I also like the way the Author covers his whole career, not just parts of it. What a voyage it must have been! Thanks for a refreshing read... I will be looking for your books.

Highly Recommended - I love cold war "I was there" books!

Although this writer is new to the business, he has a way of putting you there in his story. I actually fealt like I was there, traveling the world and working along side of him. My favorite part was the adventures in St. Croix. I really enjoyed this book, and I think that anyone who loves the sea or just enjoys adventure will enjoy it too. Nice job!

Good book - I recommend it

I enjoyed reading this book, and I actually learned alot from it. I learned about nuclear reactors, weapons systems, camels... you name it. I would have liked to have read more about the Navy Seals, but I guess we will have to wait for the next book. Good book... Recommended.

Highly Recommended for anyone who likes a good story.

I thought that this book was very well written. I especially liked how the author took time to explain things, so all of his readers could understand what he was talking about. Far too many writers assume you know what they are talking about, and that takes from the story. I also liked the attitude of the author. You can tell, that man loves the Navy. Great book! H. Ramos

I'll have to admit, I only picked it up because I was board and my husband left it sitting around. Then, after reading a couple pages, I wanted to read a couple more. Then, a chapter went by, then another... What a wonderful book! I never knew one person could do so many fascinating things in twenty years! The part I liked the best was the Police work, but then again, I am an action girl. Thanks for an excellent read Mr. Westfall! Alice Leech, Vancouver, CA

Awesome book! I think this was the authors first book, but boy can he tell a story! I read it while flying over to Europe recently and I couldn't put it down! Heck, it makes me want to go and join the Navy! Thanks, Clay... we are big fans of yours! ~ Charlie Maslin

I usually won't read a book like this but my boyfriend talked about it so much I just had to see what the fuss was about. I was presently surprised with the way the story went. It wasn't just a bunch of techno babble, it was fund and easy to stay with. Thanks for an enjoyable evening, and I will be looking for your next book! ~Jenny

Cool book... even for a girl.

I like reading true stories, and especially like reading life stories. The Author has a very special way about him, and he shares his intimate thoughts with his audiance. You can actually see where he is going in his career before he gets there. I really enjoyed this book, and i recommend it to anyone who wonders what it would have been like if they had gotten off the couch... Wanda Washington, Albany New York

    Highly Recommended for everyone.

"My Navy" is one of the best books I have read in a while. Clay breaks down the workings of the Navy to were almost anyone can understand the terminology and gives you a deeper insight into what the Navy is all about. I love the adventures he speaks of during his 22 years. The hard work, the fun, the humanity lets you know that anyone who is military has one hell of a job and we should stand proud that we are protected by such brave and loving people. "My Navy" will make you laugh, bring you to tears but will also touch your heart. For anyone who is thinking about joining the Navy, I would recommend you purchase this book and read it. Clay Westfall, my hats off to you Sir. I am honored to have been protected by you and the Navy for 22 years. God Bless you and all of our military, active and retired. Gaynell Hemmings

Great reading - Recommended to anyone

I enjoyed this book because there are so many interesting stories in it. So many thoughts and memories from my own military career came to me. Now my wife is reading it, and thats saying something since she hates military book. She said this one was different and makes he think about our son in Afganistan. Great book! Thanks.

    Nice job... Highly Recommended!

I do like a good sea story, and this book was full of them! I now know many things about war ships that I never thought I would know as well. This book is a must for anyone who has ever watched a Navy movie and wondered what it was like out there. Great book! R Thomes

    Excellent book! Highly recommended!

Wow, what a career! I loved this book, and found it very hard to put down. I usually take a week of so to finish a book, but I was done with this one in two days. My favorite part was the ghost of the sea captain. Wonderful book! Jason Livet, Casper, Wy.

    Great book. Highly recommended.

I found it hard to put this book down. The adventures that this young man had bring back many fond memories of my sailing days. It will make a nice addition to my sea library!
