Editorial Reviews

Julie Coulter Bellon - Julie Bellon
My Not-So-Fairy-Tale Life is a book that touched me deeply. Having watched my sister go through the agonizing decision of whether to give a child up for adoption or to keep him, and being an adoptive mother myself, I was curious as to whether this book would skim the surface of the unplanned pregnancy/adoption issue, or whether it would really tackle it. Ms. Wright tackled it, and she does it with an impressive amount of sensitivity and realism, as well as humor.

Caution - this is a religious testimony

This book is about redemption through the Mormon (LDS) church. Although the story is about how far the main character has to go turn around her life and that God can redeem anyone, no matter how far you have fallen, its purpose is to appeal to a potential convert.

    Highly recommended

A great book about starting over, and not letting your past determine your future. Written with great sensitivity, and realism. Proves that nothing in our past is so bad that we can't have a great and happy future.

    GREAT!

this book was really good. i liked how it dealed with really realistic situations. you sort of have to know a bit of background about the religion that is portrayed in the book, otherwise some parts might be confusing, but overall i really enjoyed the book!
