Bestselling author Miriam Minger says: It’s been a wonderful experience to have all my novels published as ebooks, but the greatest thrill for me as a writer is when readers take the time to let me know they enjoyed my stories…

”I have read hundreds if not thousands of books in my lifetime and not once have I ever been moved to comment on one until now. This is without a doubt one of the best books I have ever read. I laughed. I cried. I remained at the edge of my seat devouring every single word you wove with this incredible story. I just wanted to let you know how deeply this story moved me and to thank you for creating it.”

Wow. This one left me speechless…and grateful. I had done my job, which is to make you feel like you’ve dropped feet first into a world that captures your imagination and emotions so vividly you might be living and breathing the story. And that’s one of the purest joys of reading, isn’t it? I know it is for me…and it is my hope to continue to write books that make you feel the passion, live and breathe the adventure, laugh and cry and touch your heart.

While the book is written well, the story itself is incredibly dull and frustrating--and not in a good way. The main character is incredibly naive and refuses to listen to reason; one incident after another. Some might find her naivety and innocence endearing, but i did not. I found her an annoying simpleton who was not as kindhearted as she appeared in book one of this series (which is actually fantastic; i enjoyed book one immensely). I would not recommend this book unless you have a strong stomach for weak-willed and weak-minded characters.

*An excellent read... I am glad I read the first in the series because it set the groundwork for the heroine's personality.

"McGonagall?!" Lucius cried. "Well, time I took you down. Voldemort left me to take care of the Potter/Weasley lot." He grinned. Soon there was a full out spells war. Michael yelled "Stupefy!" At a Death when he felt a hand grab his collar of his shirt. "Show me Potter." Lucius said, wand raised. Michael stood in horror. He remembered Regus, and he played along. Shakily, he walked upstairs. Lucius' wand jabbed in his back. He held his own- yet he couldn't use it with Lucius. He quickly opened the door to show Regus, who looked almost the same. Lucius grabbed Michael's wand and crept closer to Regus. Michael saw Regus' wand on the side table. He picked it up quickly amd yowled "AVADA KEDAVRA!" Lucius fell to the ground, moaning, and gasping for the air he would never get. He finally fell dead with a thump. Lanie screamed and appeared from behind the bed. "WHAT DID YOU DO!" She screamed. Michael was soundless. Had he really just killed the evil Lucius Malfoy? Lanie peered over the bed and gasped before falling behind the bed again. Michael rushed over. "You ok?" He gasped. Lanie had passed out. Michael saw the deep gash in her side as she lay there; Avery was lying there dead. Lilly, Lily and Shaun burst into the room. "Michael?" Shaun yowled. Michael couldn't bring himself to speak. Shaun crept around the side of the bed. "If you're..." he stopped as he stared at Lanie. "She's gone, isn't she." Shaun said quietly. Michael had no voice. Neither did the girls; Lilly stood up and Apparated Lily home. ***** "Lanie." Michael moaned. Lanie still lay in the room. He played with his bread by dipping it in his stew and stirring it. Shaun pucked at his food as well; even Lilly ate nothing. Mally was upset. "Why kids sad?" He had asked. Now even Mally was upset. He washed the dishes pointlessly. Michael got up and walked into the room where Lanie was. She still lay there. Michael sat next to her and kissed her on the forehead. Shaun stared down over and moaned. Lilly walked in just as Michael and Shaun left. "Might as well eat." Michael said grimly. As he had taken a bite Lilly thundered down the stairs. "SHE'S ALIVE!!! SHE'S AWAKE!!!" Michael knocked Lilly over climbing the stairs 4 at a time with Shaun on his heels. Lanie stared blankly into space; but she moved a little. Michael saw Regus on the ground, smile on his face. "Someone'd better Apparate her to St. Mungo's." Shaun had Apparated her as fast as Regus had said it. ***** Will Lanie live? ~SKY
