Meet the Author

Greetings ~
Thanks for visiting my Smashwords bio page. A lifelong love of books lead me (as most authors) to writing. I'm not ashamed to admit I use reading and writing as an escape from reality. The constant chaos moving around out there can't reach me when I'm immersed in books and writing.
Although I’ve always felt partial to reading and writing horror I really wanted to give my drama, Even In Stillness There Is Rhythm a shot. It was an opportunity to really work on character development, which for me is the most important facet of a story. I really like my characters in that story. Especially Johnny. He was a labor of love. How could I write about a man who is kind and sensitive, yet still a strong masculine figure? I think I pulled it off okay. You can read 40% of my novel for free on this site, and please check out my other stories, My Sister Shelby story about a young girl in the lazy summer of 1976, and Vamp.0, another version of the old legend.

Blessings and all the best
Debbie

    Interesting. I enjoyed reading it.

I found this story interesting. It is not dramatic, nor is it suspenseful or mysterious; it is simply a written memory of a summer spent as a youth. I enjoyed reading it.

    Great Short Story!

For a short story i felt it was a subtle yet intreving book. While the plot wasn't complicated, it was very descriptive.. goood job:)
