    A reviewer

I've been a fan of Mario Lanza ever since I read him referenced in Terrence McNally's "Master Class." This 2 disc collection (for only 15.99!) is a great place for avid fans of the tenor to find a great selection of arias and songs. Disc one is entirely devoted to Lanza's classical work. Many of these selections can't be found on any of his other CDs, such as the aria from La Forza del Destino and the selections from Tosca. The second disc has 21 of his most famous songs from films and such. Many of these are available on different CDs, but here most of the ones he is most fondly remembered for are on one album. The only reason I didn't give this one 5 stars is that most of the remastering is not up to 21st century standards, however, the sound quality is far from poor and shouldn't deter you from picking up this great collection of the profoundly talented tenor's hits.
