Overview

The second book in the Holy Trinity Trilogy:

When Trinity escaped a worldwide apocalyptic plague in the arms of Gerik, a Scandinavian Gypsy, she never imagined they would be soul mates . . . or what that even meant. Xan showed Trinity that love could save her from the seemingly unbreakable ties she had to Gerik . . . or so she thought.

After a brutal attack on camp and being abandoned outside of the wards, Trinity, now possessing her own - and very unstable - magical powers, is left to her own devices surrounded by Skin Eaters and all other dangers of the unknown.

Now, Trinity is alone. Having no idea where her husband, her soul mate, or the Popa Clan are, Trinity is forced to discover her powers on her own.

On a journey full of self-discovery, chance encounters, unwelcome news, and enlightenment, Trinity is fighting for survival in a world where the only thing certain is death.

I started 'My Soul To Take' quite literally as soon as I'd finis

I started 'My Soul To Take' quite literally as soon as I'd finished 'The Soul Mate'. Couldn't put the kindle down - Madeline Sheehan has written such a fantastic series that has me ensnared!!

There was a change of pace and direction in 'MSTT' - Trinity comes more into herself and becomes a stronger person. Even though I'm still Team Xan, he disappointed me to no end..... and surprisingly, I think I understand Gerik more than I did before....

So many things happened in 'MSTT' - some shocking and some really quite sad. I spent a fair bit of my time in tears reading this book.
Madeline has given us a series of books so full of clues and hidden meanings that I'm definitely gonna be rereading it (again) to try to fathom everything out!!

Can't wait for the 3rd book in the trilogy to see how things work out between Trinity, Xan & Gerik.... but first we have book 2.5, 'The Lost Souls', to look forward to later this month!!

The Holy Trinity is a 5*, must read series!!!!

I so DON'T want to spoil anything for you the reader with my rev

I so DON'T want to spoil anything for you the reader with my review BUT there is SO much to tell you!!!
If you read the 1st one - Soul Mate....You will NOT be disappointed reading this one!!! Again I DID NOT want it to end - Trinity is Magical now and I am not going to tell you how or why...she is learning how to use her new powers and is ALL alone (at first) she is trying to find her way back to her people but comes up heartbroken in her search. She has to make some kills that are tough for her and she finds a very unlikely person/thing to help train her in her Magics...
I want to Hate Xan in this book - BUT I just can't - I like that Madeline writes as real to life as a person can when writing fiction with the emotions that people go through and I like that the characters are NOT perfect - they make mistakes but they DON'T totally give up...
So again the story leaves me WANTING more RIGHT NOW - but I know Madeline is working on it & I will be right there waiting to buy the next story when it comes out!!!

    Thanks Again, Madeline!!!

This the second book in The Holy Trinity Series. If you haven┬┐t

This the second book in The Holy Trinity Series. If you haven’t read the first book The Soul Mate….Go & buy it NOW…what are you waiting for? The story begins with Trinity on her own & learning how to survive on her own. She is also struggling with her new powers & is upset that Gerik passed them along to her & left her alone. Her heart is shattered when she encounters several members from camp & is informed that Xan has moved on without her. Gerik eventually finds her & apologizes. Both Gerik & Xan believe that the other is with Trinity & cannot believe that she has survived so long on her own. I cannot believe all of the emotions that I felt while reading this book. At the end of The Soul Mate is was Team Xan & was surprised how much I felt for Gerik in this book. The bond that he & Trinity has is so strong, it’s amazing. Trinity is worried about what will happen to him after his transformation is complete. Everyone is trying to survive in this new world & I cannot wait to see what is in store for Xan, Gerik & Trinity in book three. I truly never expected to be crying over Gerik at all & that goes to show you how terrific Madeline Sheehan’s writing is that she’s able to make you feel so much for an unlikely character.

-Our destiny went soul deep, had been written in the stars long before either of us had been born. --Trinity

    awesome

I have to admit The first two chapters when I started to read this were a little hard for me to get into, there was some type of malfunction and little rectangles were showing up all over the place.

That being said once I got over that, I was hooked. This is a story that is post apocalyptic It has a clan of gypsies and even a dragon. Sounds a little out there right?

It doesn’t matter that it sounds out there. Madeline Sheehan is brilliant. She creates such vivid realistic characters. She had me eating out of the palm of her hand, singing her praises at how much she makes me fall in love with her writing.

At the end of the first book, I was so grateful the second was already out. I finished the first and had so many questions in my mind. Would we see more Gerik? How will their soul mate connection come out to play? How do I feel about Xan?

The second book delivers. God I felt for Xan. I understood Gerik more. Trinity becomes pretty badass.

This is one of those stories that there really is not anything like it. Its unique. There is however a great amount of love. There are sexy as hell scenes. I love that Madeline Sheehan makes her male characters super manly. They are not the sensitive type. That to me is a little more real.

I can’t wait for the conclusion of this trilogy. Its one of this that I will probably stalk and purchase the day it comes out.
